Frequently Asked Questions
Can EMDR work online or by phone?
Yes, sessions are offered online or by phone, from a private, comfortable space in B.C. or Alberta. Jonathan is licensed in BC and Alberta. However, you will need to have a camera.
Do I have to go into detail about what happened?
No, you do not need to go into full detail. You share what feels manageable, and Jonathan guides the processing at your pace.
How do we decide if EMDR is right for me, and what happens if I get overwhelmed?
Fit is discussed first, including in the free intro call. Sessions are paced to feel safe and manageable, with time to settle, and you can pause and discuss next steps with Jonathan if you feel overwhelmed.
How much does it cost, and is it covered through CVAP or FNHA?
EMDR counselling is $150 for 50 minutes. Sessions may be covered through Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) or the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA), however approval is necessary before the session and can be discussed during the Free 15 min Intro Call.
Can I work with you if I'm in B.C. or Alberta?
